Developer FAQ
How do I keep these SVGs sharp at different sizes in Godot?
Select the SVG in the FileSystem dock and open the Import tab. Godot rasterizes SVGs on import, so raise the SVG > Scale value to render at a larger size, then click Reimport. To stay sharp at any size without reimporting, set Import As to DPITexture (available in recent Godot 4 versions), which re-rasterizes the SVG at runtime. Use the result in a TextureRect or Sprite2D as usual. If you do not need scaling, the 512x512 PNGs in every pack work directly.
Can I modify the nodes in Inkscape?
Yes. Our SVGs are built with clean, un-minified structures. You can open them directly in Inkscape or Illustrator to adjust paths, rotate color palettes, and edit geometry.
Do I need to credit CleverCanvasLabs in my commercial game?
No. Under our Public Domain licensing architecture, you have complete freedom to use and monetize your project without any attribution requirements.
Are these assets really free to use commercially?
Yes. Every pack is released under CC0 1.0 Universal (public domain). You can use, modify and sell games or products that include them with no attribution, royalties or license tracking.
What file formats and sizes are included?
Each asset ships as an SVG and a transparent 512x512 PNG. Every pack also includes a combined Spritesheet.png and a manifest.json with frame coordinates for automatic slicing.
What kinds of games are these for?
Item and icon art for inventories, loot drops, crafting and cooking systems, reward screens and game jams. Packs cover fantasy treasure, alchemy and apothecary supplies, farming and foraging, and Halloween and horror props.
Is there a free version to try?
Yes. The Free Starter Pack is a CC0 sampler with 40 assets (24 base designs plus 16 color variants) from all four paid packs.
Which engines does it work with?
Anything that loads PNG or SVG, including Unity, Godot, Unreal Engine and web UI frameworks.
